An exciting new opportunity is about to begin– Gatsby’s Technical Education Networks (TEN) programme is expanding to include new routes and, in partnership with AoC, the specialist teacher groups are building into new Communities of Practice.
We are delighted to invite teachers, and curriculum leads from your organisation to join our route specific T Level Communities of Practice with peers teaching specific T Levels across the country.
As a member, you will be able to:
- Share knowledge and experience with sector specialists who understand your specific T Level.
- Be invited to attend an in-person subject event exploring innovative and effective practice in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Collaborate on the creation of teaching and learning resources tailored to your specialist area.
- Share and refine examination techniques to strengthen learner outcomes.
- Be the first to hear the latest T Level updates including policy and assessment.
Shape the focus areas for the CoP going forward, and ensure your voice is heard nationally.
The Communities of Practice will be delivered by AoC, as part of Gatsby’s Technical Education Networks (TEN) programme. TEN supports teachers to deliver an engaging and enriched curriculum by bringing industry and the classroom closer together. With input from specialist teachers, employers, awarding bodies and professional organisations, TEN commissions research, develops free teaching materials, and hosts events to share subject specific pedagogy and practice.
Each Community of Practice will meet four times across the academic year, three times online (once per term) and at one in-person national exchange event. Task and finish groups will form part of this work, focusing on areas determined by the CoP, and developing practical resources with input from key stakeholders which teachers and curriculum leads can use in their T level delivery. Communities will be available for all routes offering T Levels, with some extending into pathway-specific groups.
